Photo: Caltech A Hg mine located in secs. 23, 24 & 26, T10N, R11W, MDM, at Skaggs Springs, 15 miles NW of Healdsburg.
Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Franciscan Formation (sandstone and shale). The Franciscan rocks are cut by numerous fractures that have been filled by opal, idrialite, realgar, orpiment and the Hg ore minerals.
