The study (Cooper 1996) was conducted at various sites in the Okuru River and Burke River areas as part of a 25 kilometre wide by 110 kilometre long lamphrophyre dyke swarm , with carbonatites, fenites, and carbothermal veins, dominated by ankerite, siderite and Ba-Sr-REE carbonates. The main interest was the rare chlorosilicate baotite.
