Highly prospective and little studied potential prospects are not normally included on Mindat for Western Australia. However, Doug Stone's Old Halls Creek Goldfields map shows them as mines, and the fear is gold seekers will enter the area without full knowledge. This is a remote area in the Albert Edwards Ranges, and visitors need to be well prepared for emergencies.

This location came to light in a prospectus by the Great Australian Resources Limited in 2004. The sum total of examination at that stage was copper, lead, zinc, silver and tin had been found in outcropping gossans. It mentions colluvial scheelite and gold had been found in the area with no supporting details. The prospectus states the area is 'highly prospective for strata bound volcanogenic sedimentary hosted and skarn hosted sulphide mineralisation'. Or it might not be either.

Located 60 kilometres north-east of Halls Creek. Adventurers must first reach the Twelve Mile gold workings (see this Mindat locality), then ford the Elvirie River. Old exploration tracks head generally north for about 10 kilometres to the area. There are many side tracks going to sites of interest by exploration companies. The tracks are likely diabolical. The company also lists about two dozen further similar prospects north of here named after the station, Sophie Downs. No tracks of any sort could be seen accessing this area.
