Mica mine. Located approximately 6 kilometres north of Ilpere/Prosser Bore. The site consists of a south-west to north-east trending trench/pit, in a low ridge. A minor station track lies north-south, about 500 metres to the east, but there is no access track to the mine.
The pegmatite outcrops for 600 feet, averaging 5 feet thick, dipping 50 degrees south, transgressing the country rock foliation which is 70 degrees north. There is a slight concentration of quartz and mica in the core, with wall zones of quartz, feldspar, and muscovite. The site is historically described as containing two inclined shafts, following the pegmatite down to a 50 foot depth. Worked spasmodically around 1960.
