Schmidigen Wyssi, Gandhorn, Binn Valley, Wallis (Valais), Switzerland
Schmidigen Wyssi, Gandhorn, Binntal, Wallis (Valais), Schweiz (Suisse; Svizzera)Dolomite outcrops at 1,980 m asl.
Located on the south slope of Gandhorn mountain.
Due to several rockslides in this area, the landscape has changed dramatically since the outcrops were first investigated by Graeser in 1965. Therefore, the two outcrops are almost impossible to distinguish nowadays. Also, the abundancy of the minerals described by Graeser has severely changed, and there were new minerals discovered that seemed initially not present.
