Group of islands which are a territory of France. Comprises Grande Terre, the largest island, and another 300 smaller islands and islets.
Also known as Îles Kerguelen, Archipel de Kerguelen, Archipel des Kerguelen, Archipel Kerguelen and Desolation Island.

Zeolites and carbonates in basalt.
Also refractory mantle Ca-harzburgite xenoliths in alkali basalt.
These harzburgites were affected by metasomatic events (interaction with basaltic melts) and partial melting (hot spot plume interaction).
