Queen Anne's Revenge wreck site, Beaufort, Carteret Co., North Carolina, USA

Corrosion products from the what is believed to be the wreck site of the flagship of the pirate Blackbeard, the Queen Anne's Revenge, which sank near Beaufort, North Carolina in 1718. (ref.: Can Min 41:659-669, June 2003; Southeastern Geology 40 (1):41-48, Feb. 2001.)
