(Rio del Castello, Alpe Cedo, Valle Basso, Val Vigezzo, Val d'Ossola, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piemonte, Italia)
In this area has been found aschalmalmite along the contact between small quartz veins and amphibolites (and schists) which represent the embedding rocks. The crystals come from the higher portion of Rio del Castello, located between Alpe Cedo and Alpe Geccio (Southern side of Ragno Peak).
