A former small surface and underground Cu-Zn-Ag mine located in East-central sec. 26, T.15S., R.22E. (Dragoon 7.5 minute topo map), on the SE edge of Johnson, on private land. Owned in part or at times by: Arizona United Mining Co., Cobriza Mines Development Co., and the Coronado Copper & Zinc Co. Operated by Mr. Alfred F. Bross. NOTE: Alternate coordinates provided: 32.1478N, 110.0647W.
Mineralization consists of lenses of copper-zinc carbonate ore in Mississippian Escabrosa Limestone in a small fault zone. Ore control was replacement beds near NE-trending faults and folds. The beds strike NW and dip 40NE.
Local structures include a small fault zone; a masive fracture system; and Tertiary blcok faulting, tilting NE.
Workings include an open pit and an adit. About 50 tons of ore were produced in 1905.
