A former small underground Cu-Ag mine located in West-central sec. 25 & East-central sec. 26, T.15S., R.22E. (Dragoon 7.5 minute topo map), on the SE edge of the town of Johnson. Owned in part, or at times, by the Mayflower Mining Co. and the Coronado Copper & Zinc Co.
Mineralization is copper carbonates in bedded, replacement deposits in tilted Cambrian Abrigo Limestone. Ore control was replacement beds near NE-trending faults and folds. The beds stike NW and dip 40NE. Alteration is limestone metamorphosed to tactite, either diopside-rich or garnet-rich. An associated rock unit is the Texas Canyon Quartz Monzonite (53 ± 3 MY).
Local structures include a massive fracture system, and Tertiary block faulting, tilting NE
Workings include shaft workings. About 250 tons of ore were shipped in 1907.
