A former small surface and underground Au-Pb-Ag-Cu mine located in the center of sec. 20, T.14S., R.27E. (Dos Cabezas 7.5 minute topo map), approximately 2 miles N of Dos Cabezas. Operated by Robinson And Hately Properties (1973); and, E.H. and C.B. White (1932).
Mineralization is lensing quartz veins and veinlets with minor streaks and disseminations of base metal sulfides along a fault fissure zone cutting Cretaceous metamorphosed shale. Mineralization includes oxidized copper minerals.
Workings include numerous shallow shafts and tunnels. A few hundred tons of ore were produced in the late 1880's and about 300 tons intermittently in 1916, 1932-1935 and 1941.
