A former surface cinder/scoria quarry located in South-central sec. 8 & 17, T.23S., R.30E, in the San Bernardino Valley. Owned by the San Xavier Rock & Sand Co. Produced cinders for cement blocks.

Mineralization is a volcanic cone of Quaternary basalt scoria and cinders. Produced over 100,000 tons in the late 1950's and early 1960's.
