A former small underground Au-W-Pb mine located in the SW ΒΌ sec. 28, T.22S., R.19E. (protracted). Location unsurveyed, about 7 miles SE of the Canelo Store in Lyle Canyon. Canelo is 12 miles SE of Sonoita, AZ. Operated by L. L. And W. E. Davis, Silver City, NM (1942).
Mineralization is partially oxidized gold, tungsten, and minor lead mineralization in pockets and scattered irregularly in quartz veins associated with the contact of a microgranodiorite dike cutting Cretaceous Bisbee Group sedimentary rocks.
Workings are shallow (near-surface). A small amount of gold ore was produced in the group in the early 1900's and some tungsten ore was produced during WWI.
