A former small surface and underground Au-Ag-Pb-Cu-Zn mines group located in the SE ¼ sec. 4, NE ¼ sec. 9, North ½ sec. 10 and the NE ¼ sec. 11, T.15S., R.28E, on military reservation land. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by the Apache Pass Gold Mining Co., Arizona Gold Mining Co., Cochise Bowie Mining Co., Helen Dome Mining Co., and the Gold Nugget Mining Co.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with spotty gold and silver values with minor oxidized base metal sulfides in irregular quartz-filled fissure veins cutting Precambrian granitic rock.

Workings are numerous scattered pits, shafts and adits. About 600 tons or ore were produced intermittently since the 1870's.
