A former small surface and underground Au-Ag-Cu-Pb mine located in the NW ¼ sec. 29, T.13S., R.26E, approximately 8 miles E of Willcox, on private land. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by Elmer Thompson; Joe Busenbark; the Gold Reef Mining & Milling Co., Carter & Robinson; Sanchez; and, the Cowboy Mining Co.
Mineralization is spotty gold values with minor, oxidized base metal sulfides in irregular quartz veins in Precambrian Pinal Schist.
Local structures include NW-trending Early Tertiary intrusive rock, probably associated with Teviston District mineralization.
Workings are shallow. Some 70 tons of ore were produced intermittently from 1931 to 1940.
