A former small surface and underground Ag-Pb-Cu-Au mine located in the NE ΒΌ sec. 16, T.20S., R.22E. (Tombstone 7.5 minute topo map), 2 miles SW of Tombstone, on private land. Produced 1919-1950. Operated at times, or in part, the Tombstone Silver Fields Co.; Allison Mines Inc.; Baremore Mining Co.; A.P. Giacoma; Hilton; and, the Mellgren group.
Mineralization is oxidized base metal sulfides with enriched pockets of silver ore along irregular fissure veins in Cretaceous Bisbee Group sedimentary rocks close to an intrusive contact. An associated rock unit is the Uncle Sam Porphyry. The Bisbee Group limestone is recrystallized.
Local structures include the Tombstone Basin (western edge).
Workings include a shafts and surface openings with a total length of 3,291.84 meters and a depth of 548.64 meters. Two shafts were sunk, one 1800 feet deep, and one 1500 feet deep.
About 140 tons of ore were produced in 1935. Some production may be included under the Mellgren group and some San Pedro production is included with the Bonanza figures. Production included under the Bonanza Mine in ABGMT-USBM files.
