A small Ag-Pb mine to which the Pakajake selenium minerals are sometimes erroneously ascribed. Hiaco contains no Se. The selenium minerals are from the Virgen de Surumi mine, about 2km east of Hiaco, on the opposite side of the deep Pakajake gorge.
