A former small surface Mn mine located in the NE ¼ sec. 21, T.23S., R.24E, approximately 1½ miles NW of Warren and N of South Bisbee, on private land. Owned at times, or in part, by the Calumet & Arizona Mining Co. and the Phelps Dodge Corp.
Mineralization is a deposit of discontinuous stringers, bunches, and veinlets of hard manganese oxides and manganiferous calcite in a fissure zone cutting Naco Group limestone.
Workings are open cut and pit openings. The largest open cut was 110 feet long, 3 to 5 feet wide, and 10 feet deep. Another open cut was 60 feet long, and 2 to 3 feet wide. Nine or more shallow cuts and pits are scattered along several fissures occupying an area about 100 feet wide and 300 feet long. Some 600-700 tons of manganese ore were produced during WWI.
Location of this mine was estimated from location map in USBM IC 7990 P. 11. The area of this mine has been covered by tailings dumps.
