A Cu-Ag-Au-Pb-F (Se) mine located in T.10N., R.13W. Owned at times, or in part, by Graves; Rogers; Haydon and Farmosano; Quick; El Tigro Mining Co.; El Pluma Mines, Inc.; Townsend Mining Co.; French; Cononation Mining Co.; Boyd and Napel; and, Ore Concentrates, Inc.
Mineralization is copper carbonates and silicates, with local lead carbonate, in fissure veins associated with strong silicification and some epidote, fluorite and selenite, in altered Precambrian schist and gneiss along a fault zone. Scattered erosional remnants of Paleozoic limestone with intrusive plugs and dikes of Laramide monzonite containing Paleozoic limestone inclusions.
First worked in the late 1880's, and sporadically through 1945. This mine group produced over 500 tons of ore averaging about 3% Cu, 2 oz. Ag/T, 0.5% Pb, and 0.1 oz Au/T.
