An underground copper mine consisting of one shaft and one adit near the town of Mass City, MI. The Ogima Mining Co. was organized in 1860 even though work had started in 1857. The mine worked until 1868 when it closed. The mine was leased to tributers sporadically until 1888 when the mine closed for good. The mine was absorbed by Mass in 1899. The mine has produced some very nice copper, silver, and a few datolites.
