A former surface and underground Au-Ag-Cu-Fe group of mines located in the center and East-central portions of sec. 30, T5N, R11W, on land of unknown status. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by Salome Gold Co.; Carper et alia; Huttan & Earp; Johnson; Smith; and, Long & Gilbert.
Mineralization is spotty gold with silver and copper ores and iron oxides, quartz, and calcite, in irregular fissure veins in Paleozoic-Mesozoic metamorphosed sediments intruded by dikes.
Workings include tunnel and open cut operations. This mine group was worked mainly from 1932 through 1939. It produced some 370 tons of ore averaging about 3.3 oz. Au/T, 1.8 oz. Ag/T and 1.8% Cu.
