A manganese mine located in the NW¼ sec. 7, T2S, R16W. Owned at times, or in part, by Carter; and, Falls.
Mineralization is pyrolusite with minor psilomelane and manganite, in irregular, disconnected bodies of veinlets and bunches, with calcite, in fracture zones in fragmented Cretaceous or Tertiary andesite, capped by rhyolite.
Workings are open cut operations. Production has been some 230 long tons of 27% Mn ore in 1953-1954.
