A former Cu-Ag mine.
A Cu-Ag-Fe mine located in the NW¼ sec. 3, T8N, R15W (protected) (Swansea 15 minute topo map), on land of unknown status. Owned by Mr. Huthmacher.
Mineralization is spotty, oxidized copper minerals with minor sulfides in an irregular, hematite-rich, replacement lens in flat-lying shale beds of metamorphosed Mesozoic sediments, overlying Precambrian schists.
Workings are limited surface openings prospected in the early 1900's. A small amount of high-grade copper ore was shipped.
