Red Knob Mine (Red Knob prospect; Red Knob claims), Muggins Mountains uranium prospects, Muggins District, Muggins Mts, Yuma Co., Arizona, USA

Latitude: 32°44'30"N
Longitude: 114°12'0"W
An U-V-Pb-Mo-Cu prospect with surface workings located in sec. 10, T8S, R19W, on a military reservation (?).

Mineralization includes high grade pockets. The ore zone is 91.44 meters long, 0.91 meters wide, and 3.05 meters thick.

Mineralization is traces of uranophane, autunite, pyromorphite, carnotite, and unidentified uranium minerals in Tertiary volcanic tuffs and ash, opalized mudstone, and other lacustrine sediments. Probable origin of the uranium was tuffaceous volcanic rhyolite. Specific species have not been attributed to this or any other specific prospect.

Field explorations only. Prospected & some uranium mineralization stockpiled.
