A former surface and underground Au-Ag-Cu mine located in the center of sec. 3, T3N, R18W, on land of unknown status. Owned at times, or in part, by George King & Co.; and, the New York & Plomosa Mining Co.

Mineralization is spotty gold, silver, and oxidized copper ores in irregular quartz veins and veinlets in highly deformed, schistose, silicified and epidotized Paleozoic or Mesozoic sediments with interbedded, altered andesite cut by aplitic dikes.

Workings are shallow shafts and open cuts. This mine groupwas worked in the early 1900's and produced some 1,720 tons of ore averaging about 0.3 oz. Au/T, 1 oz. Ag/T and 0.6% Cu.
