A former surface Chrysoprase mine located in the NE¼ sec. 33, T5N, R17W (protracted). NOTE: Alternate coordinates provided: 33.7364N, 114.0297W. Lat-long from center of sec. 33.
Mineralization is narrow, irregular stringers of chrysoprase in Cretaceous or Tertiary volcanics (rhyolite ?).
Workings include shallow trenches and pits. A total of $2,000 worth of material was reportedly sold in 1958-1960.
