A former underground Cu-Ag-Au-Mn-Pb mine located in the SE¼NW¼NE¼ sec. 22, T4N, R16W (Vicksburg 15 minute topo map), on land of unknown status. Owned at times, or in part, by the Shamrock Mining Co. Mr. Richmond had unspecified involvement here (1918).
Mineralization is oxidized, argentiferous, copper mineralization, with manganese and minor lead, in a jasper gangue along a fault-vein in Cretaceous or Tertiary andesite and andesitic porphyry.
Workings include shaft operations. This mine was discovered in 1905 and worked mainly from 1909 through 1918. It produced some 210 tons of ore averaging about 6% Cu, 39 oz. Ag/T and 0.01 oz. Au/T.
