A former surface Mn-Fe mine located in South-central (SE¼SE¼SW¼) sec. 12 to North-central sec. 13, T10N, R17W, on land of unknown status. Owned by Mr. Sitton (1954).

Mineralization is manganese oxides mixed with iron oxides in irregular replacement lenses in Paleozoic limestone and in fractures, seams, veinlets, and irregular bunches. Carbonate beds are underlain by sandstone and Precambrian metamorphics.

Workings include open cut operations. It produced some 275 long tons of sorted, crude 20.0% Mn ore and 97 long tons of 33.6% Mn concentrates during the period 1953-1954.
