A former surface Au placer mine/deposit area located in sec. 25 & the SW¼NW¼SW¼ sec. 36, T3S, R23W and secs. 1 & 2, T4S, R23W, on land of unknown status. These placers are in Paradise Valley, along the eastern bank of the Colorado River.
Mineralization is gold placers in bench gravels, arroyo bottoms, and ancient bars and channels of drainage from the Trigo Mountains and along the ancestral Colorado River, in the Paradise Valley area South of Lighthouse Rock.
Workings include dry washing operations. These placers were worked intermittently in the late 1880's, during the 1930's, and from 1950 through 1966. Estimated and reported production would be some 800-1000 oz. of gold with 80-100 oz. of silver.
