A former surface and underground Mn mine located in the SE¼ sec. 1, T2S, R22W (SW¼ sec. 1, T1S, R22W per MRDS)(protracted). Discovered 1954. Owned by Messrs. Carl and Harvey Self (1973). Operated at times, or in part, by E. H. Cockrum and T. H. Mcnelly (1973).

Mineralization is psilomelane in brecciated wall rock in parallel shear veins in Tertiary andesitic volcanics.

Workings include an open cut. This mine was worked in 1948-1950 and in 1954-1955. It produced some 400 long tons of about 41% Mn ore.
