A former underground Mn mine group located in the SW¼NE¼NE¼ sec. 3, T3S, R23W, on land of unknown status. Owned by Mr. Brown (1955).
Mineralization is pyrolusite mixed with calcite and brecciated wall rock, in lenticular shoots along a fracture vein in Tertiary andesitic volcanics.
Workings include shaft operations. This mine was worked in 1954-1955 and produced some 100 long tons of 20-30% Mn ore.
