A former underground Ag-Pb-Cu-Au-Zn mine group located in the center & east-center (NE¼) of sec. 33, T.22S., R.16E, ¼ mile E of the Basin Mine, on National Forest land. Owned by the Mumme Mining Co.

Mineralization is deeply oxidized, siliceous, lensing, quartz shear veins containing argentiferous galena and other sulfides, cutting crushed and altered Cretaceous andesite volcanics with interbedded silicated limestone and shale with rhyolite intrusives. The Great Silver vein is underlain by andesite containing 2 feet of soft decomposed vein material.

A strong siliceous vein or ore bed dips 30ºN. in andesite. It consists of an altered mineralized sheet of intrusive rhyolite from 2 to 3 feet thick, largely replaced by heavily iron-stained quartz and gypsum, which are the principal gangue minerals, especially next to the hanging wall. The ore mineral is dark, highly argentiferous galena.

Workings include a 50 foot drift tunnel. The deposit is stoped from the tunnel 60 feet upward to the surface.

Workings include shafts, adits, tunnels, and open cuts. The tunnel is 50 feet long and is stoped 60 feet to surface. These mines were worked in the 1880's and early 1900's. They produced some 100 tons of ore averaging about 15 oz. Ag/T, 5.5% Pb, and 4.5% Cu.
