Holzappel Mine, Holzappel, Laurenburg, Lahn valley, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

Ancient workings on a Zn-Pb-Cu vein, hosted by clay schists. Some dumps are still present near Dörnberg smelter (located about 1 km SSW of Holzappel) and on the banks of the Lahn river, about 1 km SW of Laurenburg.
