A former small surface Pb-Ag-Au-Fe mine located in the NW¼ sec. 17 & sec. 20, T.20S., R.14E, on National Forest land. Produced in 1908. Owned by the Santa Rita Mining Co.

Mineralization is an oxidized pyritic zone in Laramide quartz monzonite containing supergene enrichment of silver and lead values and concentrations of gold near the surface. The mineralization was probably controlled by fractures. The host rock unit is the Elephant Head Quartz Monzonite.

Workings include surface openings. Some 384 tons of ore were concentrated 20:1 to yield about 28 oz. Ag/T, 13 oz. Au/T and 16% Pb, in 1908.
