A former small surface Ag-Au-Cu-Pb-Zn mine located in the center of sec. 9, T.21S., R.10E., 1 mile E of Back Bone Mine. Produced 1936-1937. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by Goon; Lim; Soto; and The Richard Mining & Milling Co.
Mineralization is numerous, scattered, oxidized and weathered, irregular quartz-fissure veins containing spotty base metal sulfides in a Laramide granitic intrusive (Amado Granite). There is near-surface enrichment by oxidation and weathering. Auriferous and argentiferous galena occurs in nearby mines.
Workings include shallow openings. This group produced some 400 tons of ore averaging about 0.6 oz. Au/T and 7 oz. Ag/T, 0.4% Cu and 0.2% Pb, during the 1930's. Gold was produced in 1936 & 1937. A total of 121 oz of Au at 0.5 oz/ton.
