A former Hg mine located in sec. 32, T17S, R12E, MDM, 0.3 km (900 feet) SSE of Idria. Discovered in 1853 and in continuous production since, except the period 1921-1922.

Mineralization is a Hg deposit in hydrothermally indurated beds of the Panoche Formation beneath the New Idria thrust fault and associated tear faults which offset the thrust.
