A former small Au-Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn mine located in the NE ¼ sec. 18, T.16S., R.4E. (protracted), 10½ miles W of Comobabi. Produced 1936-1950. Owned by Mr. Maurice Hedderman; and the Picacho Mines, Inc.
Mineralization is partly oxidized, lensing, quartz vein with spotty copper, lead, and zinc minerals, and with gold enrichment near the surface, along a fracture zone in Cretaceous (?) andesite volcanics.
Prospected and worked in the late 1800's with sporadic production up to 1950, of some 600 tons of ore averaging about 0.5 oz. Au/T, 1.5 oz. Ag/T, 1.5% Cu and 1.3% Pb. The zinc was not recovered.
