A former underground Cu-Au-Ag-Pb-Zn mine located in East-central sec. 29, T.16S., R.5E. (protracted). Owned by the Emperor & Dutchess Mines Co.
Mineralization is partly oxidized, lensing quartz-calcite vein with chalcocite and minor lead and zinc minerals along a fissure zone cutting altered Laramide granitic intrusive.
Workings are shallow. Some 140 tons of ore averaging 0.01 oz. Au/T, 9 oz. Ag/T, and 5% Cu, were produced in 1951.
