A former surface and underground Pb-Au-Ag-Cu-Zn-V mine group located in East-central sec. 16, T.16S., R.4E. (protracted). Owned by the Mildren Mining Co.; Wayne Developing Co.; Dunn; McCaughy; and, Sowles.
Mineralization is lensing, crystalline quartz-fissure veins, partly brecciated, with some dolomite in Cretaceous (?) amygdaloidal andesite flows. Sulfides, including ruby silver, occur in pods and lenses. The deposit is oxidized near the surface with enriched gold values.
Workings include shafts and pits. Worked mainly in 1932-1934 and 1940-1941. It produced some 460 tons of ore averaging about 7% Pb, 12 oz. Ag/T, 0.2 oz. Au/T and 1.6% Cu.
