A former small underground Pb-Cu-Zn-Ag-Au mine located in East-central sec. 9, T.18S., R.17E., 31 miles SE of Tucson. Operated 1941-1943. Owned/operated by Gathin and Weaver; and, E.P. Hilton.
Mineralization is small replacement bodies of lead, copper, and zinc carbonates and minor sulfides in faulted and folded Paleozoic limestone close to a large Larmaide intrusive (quartz monzonite).
Workings include shallow openings of an unknown type. Produced some 120 tons of ore in 1941 and 1943, averaging about 6% Pb, 2% Zn, 3% Cu, 19 oz. Ag/T and 0.1 oz. Au/T.
