A former small surface Cu-Ag mine located in the SE ¼ sec. 31, T.17S., R.17E. (Empire Mountains 15 minute topo map), 1 mile east of the Montana Mine, west slope of the Empire Mountains, at about 4,300 feet of altitude, 7½ miles SW of Pantano, on land of unknown status.
Mineralization is enriched copper carbonate in a surficial contact metamorphic deposit along the contact of Laramide quartz monzonite intrusive and faulted Paleozoic and Cretaceous sedimentary formations.
Workings are surface openings. Reportedly some 1,000 tons of copper-silver ore were shipped in the late 1800's or early 1900's.
