A Cu-Pb-Ag-Au mine located on an unpatented claim in South-central sec. 24 & North-central sec. 25, T.18S., R.15E. Owned by Steinfeld & Co.
Mineralization is irregular ferruginous gossan zone with copper and lead carbonates underlain locally by disseminated and massive chalcocite and argentiferous galena in pyrometasomatic replacement deposits along the faulted contact of Paleozoic quartzite and silicated limestone in thrust-faulted block segments.
The ore bed was 1½ to 2 feet (45 to 60 cm) wide and averaged 18% to 20% Cu.
Workings included a shaft.
