A former small underground Pb-Ag-Zn-Cu-Au mine located in North-central (SE¼NE¼NW¼) sec. 21, T.17S., R.12E., 2½ miles SW of the San Xavier Mine, 3 miles SW of San Xavier and 4½ miles NW of Twin Buttes, on private land. Produced 1948-1966. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by Mr. Frank Hill, and the Thornel Co., Inc.(1966); and Mr. Fred W. Fickett, owner (1959).
Mineralization is ore in spotty masses, partly oxidized base metal sulfides in narrow, irregular fissure veins in Cretaceous volcanics within the San Xavier thrust sheet.
Workings include shaft(s). Some 125 tons of ore averaging about 12% Pb, 2% Zn, 0.5% Cu, 47 oz. Ag/T, and minor gold were produced in 1948-1949, 1952 and 1966. Production years: 1948 - 1949, 1952, and 1966.
