A Au-Cu-Pb-Mo mine located in the SW ¼ sec. 28, T.30N., R.17W.
Mineralization is on the Scanlon Mine vein system. At adit No. 1, complexly layered, folded, quartzofeldspathic gneiss is exposed directly North of the portal. In the adit, a quartz-cored pegmatite containing microcline crystals as much as 30 cm diameter in its outer zone, crops out. In adit No. 2, fine gold is seen at several points along the vein outcrop. The vein apparently cuts the pegmatite as does the fault zone.
Workings include 2 adits (adit No. 1 & adit No. 2).
