Mineralization is the Iowa Canyon vein that strikes WNW-ward and dips about 70ºS. and occurs in Esperanza Trachyte. Vein filling ranges from 3 to 8 feet wide and consists of greenish brecciated quartz, a little calcite, and some rock breccia, traversed by veinlets of quartz and calcite.
Workings include a 200 foot deep shaft with about 100 feet of drifts (before 1907). Ore averaged 0.15 to 0.70 oz Au/T [3 feet adjacent to the hanging wall only]).
