Copper Mine Point, Virgin Gorda Island, British Virgin Islands

Veins in very wide (up to 2 km) contact-metamorphic aureole around Copper Mine Point Pluton and Virgin Gorda Batholith (granodiorite). Some areas of granitic rocks and sulfide-bearing dikes are stained with nondescript secondary copper minerals.
