An iron mine located on Ore Hill near Sugar Hill and Franconia. Started about 1807 and closed 1870. Hydrothermal vein deposit. Ore is in Ammonoosuc volcanics. Workings were up to 150 feet deep and included several prospect pits, adits, and shafts peripheral to the main open-cut with tunnels mine.
