A former underground Ag-Au-Pb-Zn-U-Cu-Pyrite mine located about 2½ miles North of Cerbat and about 4 miles South of Mineral Park, at about 4,300 feet of altitude. Started in theearly 1870's. Reopened 1896-1901. Originally owned by Messrs. Cody & J.P. Layne; then H. Wilson after 1882, and by J.W. Garret after 1895 until purchased by the Oro Plata Mining Co. about 1906.
Mineralization is an approximate 4 foot wide vein that strikes N.55ºW. and dips 80º NE. Ore occurs mainly in banded quartz.
Workings include a tunnel 100 feet long, several drifts and shafts, adits and stopes aggregating about 7,000 feet of workings. Produced some 2,527 tons of ore (1896-1901).
