A U-Cu-V prospect located in sec. 7, T.11N., R.13W., about 6 miles NW of old Alamo. Owned by E.W. Tate of Wendon, AZ (1951).

The rocks of this prospect belong chiefly to the Artillery Formation, probably of Eocene age, which is underlain by Precambrian schist and gneiss. Nearby exposures indicate that the Artillery Formation has been thrust over the Precambrian rocks at a low angle. The Artillery Formation in the prospecty area is represented by a breccia consisting of fragments of schist, felsitic material, conglomerate, and limestone cemented with silica, carbonates, and manganese oxide. This is probably a fault breccia related to the low-angle thrust fault, but it may be in part a sedimentary breccia at the base of the Artillery Formation.

Mineralization is a radioactive shear zone that strikes N.55ºW. and dips 70ºSW, and is 305 feet wide. Three similar zones are exposed SW of the prospect pit. Brecciated rock in the shear zone is cemented with barite, fluorite and secondary copper minerals.

Workings are limited to a single prospect pit.
