Mineralization is primary and secondary uranium species with gangue minerals in irregular pod-like bodies in Yavapai schist. Alterations include halos of jarosite, hydrous iron oxides, and sericitized feldspars. The ore occurs in the lower part of sandy/silty lenses in scours, some pods near fossil wood. The highest grade ore is at the base of scours near carbonaceous matter.
